Kia vs Nissan Brand Comparison

Those driving in the West Chester, Philadelphia, and Ardmore areas have many options when it comes to finding a new car. You might have already looked at a few different brands, and yes, there are many more you may not have even considered yet. Comparing the Kia vs. Nissan brands, it’s easy to see why many drivers in the Springfield, Exton, and Wilmington areas are behind the wheel of one of these car brands. At Jim Sipala’s Kia of West Chester, we’re taking a closer look at the two of them and what they bring to the table for an eager-to-learn driver.

Kia vs Nissan Warranty

While the Nissan brand has been around a bit longer in the U.S., the Kia brand has made great strides, particularly in recent years. In the most recent J.D. Power Initial Quality Study, which looks at new cars and polls owners about vehicle performance in the first 90 days of ownership, Kia came in 2nd place in the 2019 poll, while Nissan took the 7th position. It’s also important to be backed by a warranty that can be counted on. Kia believes in the durability and reliability of every car coming off the assembly line, backing every vehicle with a 10-year/100,000-mile warranty program. This warranty is comprised of a 10-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty and 5-year/60,000-mile limited basic warranty. Every Nissan comes with warranty coverage, but it can’t quite match what Kia has to offer. A Nissan comes with a 5-year/60,000-mile limited powertrain warranty and 3-year/36,000-mile limited warranty. Read all of our Kia reviews here to learn more about our vehicles!

Tech Features

Nissan and Kia both offer vehicle technology that’s meant to protect you. Inside a Kia, there’s the UVO eServices system. Drive confidently knowing that this system will be there to protect you in case of emergency. If an airbag deploys, 911 Connect will call 911 for you and provide emergency responders with your location. The eServices app even lets you check major vehicle functions. If something needs attention, schedule service using the diagnostics tool or have service scheduled for you. NissanConnect® is somewhat similar to UVO eServices. This helps you with navigation, can call for roadside assistance, and track your vehicle even if you’re not near it.

Comparing Two Popular Competitors

Visit any Kia dealership, and you’ll quickly learn that the Kia Optima is one of the most popular models on the lot. Visit a Nissan dealer, and the same can be said about an Altima. When you get down to it, it’s easy to see what makes the Optima stand out. The Optima’s standard safety features include Blind Spot Collision Warning, Forward Collision Warning, and Lane Keeping Assist-Line, which are all are found in the entry-level trim of this car. Unless you have a higher trim level of the Nissan Altima, though, you won’t enjoy these kinds of features. It’s one way Kia is making a difference when it comes to vehicle safety.
