Completely redesigned and hitting the market with a whole new look, the 2019 Kia Forte is a peppy and athletic car to drive around West Chester, Philadelphia, and Ardmore. This compact vehicle also tackles the roads of Springfield, Exton, and Wilmington in style.
Visit Jim Sipala’s Kia of West Chester to see the latest edition of the Forte up close. When you’re here, you’ll see the Forte is available in different configurations, giving you a way to make it your own. Let’s take a closer look at some of these configurations.
Forte FE & LX
The latest Kia Forte is available in four different trim levels, but since the FE and LX are pretty similar, we’ll discuss both here. Regardless of the Forte you’re driving, you’ll have a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, which generates 147 horsepower. The base edition, the FE, comes with a 6-speed manual transmission. The LX trim comes standard with a continuously variable transmission.
Design-wise, another important difference comes by way of the wheels. The FE comes with 15-inch tires with steel wheels, and the LX carries 16-inch tires with alloy wheels.
Inside the cabin, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ are standard. Link up a smartphone to the 8-inch touchscreen, and have access to many of the features you have on your phone. Reply to text messages, use a navigation app, or select a new song from your saved playlist.
Standard driver assistance features include:
- Forward Collision Warning
- Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist
- Lane Departure Warning
- Lane Keeping Assist
Whether it’s protecting you from a frontal crash or protecting against lane departures, these features will help keep you safe.
The sportier Forte S is a bit more athletic than the entry-level edition of this car, with more technology available than the base Forte. The exterior gets an upgrade, with the LED daytime running lights and LED taillights. These lights shine brightly and help other drivers see you clearly. The front fog lights increase visibility when it becomes tough to see.
Inside the car, the UVO eServices system tracks parking location, upcoming maintenance that’s needed, and driving habits, letting you know when service is required. Meanwhile, the leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift provide a better grip and give the cabin a much sportier look.
The top-end Kia Forte comes with Premium Navigation featuring voice recognition technology, with a more powerful sound system. The Harman/Kardon® 320-watt Premium Audio System has eight speakers, which enhances the sound of all your songs and podcasts. The available wireless charging lets you power up a phone without any attachments.
The cabin is bolstered by the leatherette seating, and the dual-zone automatic temperature control keeps up to five people comfortable at one time. Need more space? Flip down the 60/40 split-folding rear seats, and you’ll get it. The Forte trunk is spacious, measuring in at 15.3 cubic feet.
Set the 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat to your liking, along with the heat settings for the seat, to customize your setup. Your co-pilot will be happy, too, thanks to the heated front passenger seat.
