West Chester, PA, is a constantly growing Chester County borough where there are plenty of delicious brunch spots to spend your mornings. And while you might be overwhelmed with options, we’re here to put the spotlight on one of our favorite WC gems.
Situated on the corner of New and Market Street, you’ll find the Spicy Pig Café. This unique spot has a menu that’s made up of Thai and American cuisine, offering tons of options for any palette, craving, or time of day.
The Story of the Spicy Pig Café
The Spicy Pig Café began as an idea of founders Matt and Tew Gourley. In 2009, they opened The Lunchbox, a food truck on West Chester University’s campus. The Lunchbox drew such a high volume of customers, that Matt and Tew decided it was time to give their idea a bigger home, and what would become The Spicy Pig Café.
The Spicy Pig Café, formerly known as the Lunchbox Café, offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, and take-out options. Serving both “Authentic American” and “Authentic Thai,” you’ll quickly see what sets this brunch spot apart from the rest.
The Spicy Pig Café Menu
The Spicy Pig Café has a menu that’s packed with variety and flavor. Starting with breakfast items such as omelettes, pancakes, French toast, eggs benedict, and one of our favorites, Congee soup, you’ll be sure to find whatever it is you’re craving.
And it wouldn’t be brunch without lunch! The Spicy Pig also offers tons of unique lunch items, like “Make Your Own” noodle soup, rice bowls, wraps, salads, and much more.
Let’s not forget about the drinks, either. Another aspect of the food menu that makes the Spicy Pig Café stand out is the bubble tea. You’ll choose your favorite tea flavor, such as strawberry, mango, or pineapple, and then a bubble flavor, such as lychee, kiwi, or mixed jelly, then put it altogether and enjoy!
