Radiator Cap Repair

Coolant is pumped through your engine and absorbs heat. The heat is then transported to the radiator inside the coolant, where the heat is removed by heat exchange with the air flowing in from the outside. It’s highly pressurized to allow it to move swiftly through the engine. The radiator cap is mounted on top of the radiator and regulates pressure in the cooling system.

If the cooling system pressure rises too high due to the heat, the cap opens to bleed off the excess pressure and then closes again. The cap is secured in place by two seals to keep the system airtight. Over time, the seals can wear out and pressurized coolant will leak out. As the cooling system loses pressure, the engine temperature will rise. We’ll replace the seals or the cap to fix this issue.

Transmission Servicing

The transmission works with your engine to move your Kia. It focuses the energy produced by the engine and directs it by using a series of gears to allow the wheels to move at the required speed. Transmission components are subject to wear and tear as they depend on friction to work effectively. In addition, parts will wear out due to age and can cause transmission problems.

A transmission service involves testing each component to ensure it’s working correctly. We also examine them for damage and can replace any damaged parts. The transmission fluid is drained and replaced, and a new filter is installed. We clean the outer casing to prevent dirt from entering the transmission and to make sure the system is secure and leakproof.

Brake Pad Replacement

Brake pads are an essential part of the braking system. They fit into the brake calipers and have a 1/2″ thick rough material covering that produces friction against the smooth rotors. The friction generated between the pads and the rotors brings your vehicle to a stop when you hit the brakes. A pad’s material covering slowly wears off, reducing braking efficiency.

Once a pad’s material covering drops to 1/4″ thickness, it needs replacement. Pad manufacturers install a metal spike in the material that becomes visible when a pad has worn down. The spike will scratch against the rotor when you brake, and the screeching sound this produces is an audible warning you need new pads. Our technicians can quickly replace worn pads, and the noise will stop.
