Design

The 2024 Carnival’s boxy upright design is quite similar to Kia’s well-loved Telluride SUV. A low floor combined with a tall roof results in plenty of extra height that taller occupants will enjoy. You can also create additional floor space by removing the standard sliding second-row seats. Heated side mirrors with integrated turn indicators are also standard in this lineup.

A tri-zone climate control system is standard even in the 2024 Carnival’s base model, which allows each row to choose its most comfortable temperatures. All models have solar glass installed in the windshield and front door windows to reduce the amount of heat that accumulates in the cabin, which helps the interior remain comfortable.

Performance

The front-wheel drive 2024 Carnival line is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission with an Eco Drive Mode, delivering 287 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. The estimated fuel economy is 18 mpg on city streets and 26 mpg on the highway.

The Kia Access app allows you to pre-cool or pre-heat your vehicle before entering it. Smart Key, Remote Engine Start, Downhill Brake Control, Hill Start Assist, and Push Button start are all standard throughout the line.

Technology

A 6-speaker sound system with AM/FM stereo and SiriusXM satellite radio is standard in the 2024 Carnival’s lowest trim level. The infotainment system features a 12.3-inch touchscreen display with novice recognition, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless hotspot, and Bluetooth wireless connectivity for multiple devices. A USB data port is in the front row and all rows have two USB-C charging ports.

Kia’s smart connectivity system uses an embedded modem to integrate with Android or iOS smartphones and smartwatches or compatible smart speakers. Also, the Kia app can provide maintenance reminders, automatically call 911 when an airbag is employed, and more.
