2021 Kia Sportage Review

Fresh for adventure, the 2021 Kia Sportage can transform your travels through West Chester, Philadelphia, and Ardmore, Pennsylvania. For drivers looking for a multifaceted roadster that takes you from rural to urban terrain around Springfield, Exton, and Wilmington, Delaware, it offers a lot for drivers. Jim Sipala’s Kia of West Chester invites you to see how dynamic one set of wheels can be.

Interior Cargo and Space

Interior Cargo and SpaceWith its 60.1 cubic feet of cargo volume in the Kia Sportage, you’re set for any trip to the beach or to ski at the Poconos. A removable tray comes in the dual-level cargo floor to prevent loose objects from escaping. Access this space with your Smart Key—available with the Kia EX and Kia SX Turbo trims—that sits in your purse or pocket while the available Smart Power Liftgate™ opens.

Available leather seating offers luxe accommodations with the optional 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with available heating. A heated steering wheel is available, too. You and your front passenger can choose which temperature individually suits you with a dual-zone automatic temperature control system.

In the front, you get 37.6 inches of headroom and 41.5 inches of legroom. Head to the back seat, and you’re provided with 37.9 inches of headroom. The rear legroom spans 38.2 inches.

Seamless Technology

Space Wherever You Need It

No wires are required for your smartphone with the available wireless phone charger. You can even integrate your phone with Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™. Your audio controls and navigated route will appear on the available 8-inch touch-screen that comes with a UVO link. These controls also make it easy to send messages and see who may be calling.

The UVO link in the Kia Sportage is compatible with your smartphone and lets you accomplish operations from a distance. If you get involved in an accident and your airbags deploy, this feature will automatically attempt to call 911 and contact roadside assistance. With the remote climate control option, you can control how warm or cold the temperature is in your ride in advance.

Fair Warning for Safety

Stay in your lane and prevent frontal collisions with pedestrians and other objects in front of you with Lane Keeping Assist and the Forward Collision Avoidance-Assist with Pedestrian Detection. Driver Attention Warning will alert you if it senses your attention level has faltered so that you can concentrate on the drive or make a pit stop.

If you’re looking for more coverage, add the available Blind-Spot Collision Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Collision Warning to your Kia machine. They keep a watch on either side and behind you so that you’re ready to either back out or switch lanes.

Command Performance

Command PerformanceThere are two engines to choose from that will allow you to tow up to 2,000 pounds when properly equipped. Select the standard 2.4L 4-cylinder engine or the available 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. Both engines come with Drive Mode Select, which has Normal, Eco, and Sport modes for a personalized ride. Add the available Dynamax™ AWD (All-Wheel Drive) system for enhanced traction or stick with FWD (Front-Wheel Drive).

Depending on the drivetrain, you can expect differing fuel efficiencies. With FWD, it provides you with an EPA-estimated 23 city/30 highway MPG.1 If you use the highway on a frequent basis, this drivetrain supports you in that endeavor. For those interested in AWD, you’ll get an EPA-estimated 21 city/25 highway MPG, which provides drivers with great gas mileage.1
